Receive crypto
To get your asset address (which allows other people to send a specific currency to you), press the Receive button on your asset card.
You will see a slider with the two options:
- Address — generates blockchain credentials and QR codes;
- Email or user ID — generates codes for receiving crypto via specifying an email address or a user ID. This option works only between HitBTC users.
Option I: Address
The Address screen may look differently—i.e., it can specify a network or a memo that the sender must specify when transferring funds to this wallet. Depending on the currency, there can be both a network and a memo displayed, or neither of those. Please note that those must be specified correctly so that the funds sent to you are not lost.
To share credentials of the currency wallet containing the memo:
1. Click Copy in the Memo field — this step will deblur the address field and enable the QR button. Instead of Memo, this field may be also called DestinationTag, Payment ID, Public key, Attachment, or Message.
2. Share the credentials by doing either of the following:
- Click Share and select the application on your mobile device that you will use for sharing the wallet address credentials.
- Click QR to open the QR code pop-up. Move the slider to the Address and Memo positions to scan address and memo codes accordingly.
If there is no Memo field, the address is initially visible, so you can click QR or Share.
Finally, there can be only the address section displayed. You can either scan the QR code, copy the Address or click Share to send it via an external mobile application.
Address History
The Address screen allows accessing the list of addresses, from which crypto was received via your wallet credentials. To access the list, click Address history at the bottom of the screen.
Option II: Email or User ID
To share the credentials that allow other HitBTC users sending you crypto by specifying your email or user ID:
1. Place the toggle in the Email or user ID position
2. Share your external ID by either of the methods:
- Scan the QR code.
- Copy the code in the corresponding field.
- Click Share link, and select the application on your mobile device to use it for sharing the credentials.
3. To share your email instead of the user ID, click the email link at the bottom of the screen—this will open the sharing tab.
Things to consider when receiving coins and tokens:
When sending or receiving crypto, please remember to specify correct networks and memos when required.
Token Family
The same token can exist in different networks, and it is very important to ensure that the token you are sending and the token in our application belong to the same network. Currently, the application works with tokens from 12 networks:
1. Ethereum network - https://etherscan.io/
2. Binance Smart Chain network - https://bscscan.com/
3. BNB chain network - https://explorer.binance.org/
4. Solana network - https://explorer.solana.com/
5. Polygon Chain - https://polygonscan.com/
6. Cardano network - https://cardanoscan.io/
7. EOS network - https://bloks.io/
8. Tron network - https://tronscan.org/
9. Chiliz Blockchain - https://explorer.chiliz.com/
10. Hedera public network - https://app.dragonglass.me/hedera/home
11. VeChain network - https://vechainstats.com/
12. Proton network - https://www.protonscan.io/
Memo
Memo is the payment identifier that may be required apart from the address. If a memo is specified as a part of the wallet credentials, you need to share it along with the address. Failing to specify a memo when sending or receiving crypto will result in losing funds during the transaction process. Instead of Memo, this field may be also called DestinationTag, Payment ID, Public key, Attachment, or Message.
