HitBTC Risk Management team monitors all trading activity to make certain that it conforms to the international Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations.
The KYC verification is a mandatory procedure aimed at verifying the identity of HitBTC traders. This procedure requires that users provide to us several scanned documents, which our Compliance department uses to conduct their background checks. This important step ensures the security of all of our traders.

Having a verified account is instrumental in a situation when you no longer have access to the device with the 2FA codes for your HitBTC account, or when a suspicious activity has been identified in your account. Verified users regain access to their HitBTC accounts quickly and easily.
- Lower fees
Verified users also get the benefit of our Fee Tier program. For them, the lowest Tier for both maker and taker trades is just 0.09%, compared to 0.1% and 0.25% for unverified users. Moreover, our Fee Tier program rewards our community members for high trading volume.

How to verify your account (step-by-step)
The Identity verification procedure (also known as KYC, Know Your Customer) at HitBTC is quick and easy.
Just follow these steps.
- Open your account Settings, the KYC tab.
Enter the information and upload the required documents and photos. Please ensure that your pictures are clear and are of high quality. The minimum size is 500 Kb and the maximum is 10 Mb.
- Click the “Request Verification” button.
- Look for an email from us in the mailbox with which you registered your account.
